f Mesozoic Basin Development on the North Atlantic Margins - its Relationship to Late-Precambrian Rifting

There is a large amount of evidence which can be used to demonstrate that the Mesozoic rifting and structural style of the North Atlantic margins is determined by Precambrian extensional structures and not Caledonian (Late Ordovician to Silurian) compressional structures as previously presumed.
