f Paleotopographic Reconstructions, Southern Viking Graben

Backstripping has been undertaken as part of an integrated tectonic-sedimentologic study in the southem Viking Graben, by Neste Petroleum and Petec. The aim was to construct 9 paleo-topographic maps within the Upper Jurassic, Cretaceous and the Tertiary interval. These maps, together with petrophysical and sedimentological information from wells, may be useful to define source areas, the relationship between tectonics and sedimentation, and potential barriers to sediment transport and mapping of sedimentary facies.
