Abstract

Recently, considerable progress has been made in the 3D modelling of hydrocarbon reservoirs. For example, detailed models including sedimentary bodies, such as fluvial channels, may be modelled stochastically. Within these sedimentary bodies, permeabilities are aften randomly assigned.
