f Chronostratigraphic Level Evaluation Based on the Geological and Geophysical Data in Kuçova Oilfield

The Kugova oil field is located in the central part of Albania between Lushnja and Berati cities. It is the oldest oil field in Albania. From the stratigraphicall point of view the hydrocarbons are found in the Tortonian and Mesinian sandstones beds, interbedded with siltstones and shales, filling the erosional valley formed on the limestones and flysch deposited from Jurassic to the Late Oligocene of the homonym thrust anticline.
