f Carboniferous and Upper Permian Core in the Bartens Sea Conoco 7128/6-1 Well

The 7128/6 block was awarded in the 13th Round of license applications for offshore Norway. Conoco is operator of the block with partners Den Norske Stats Oljeselskap A/S (Statoil), Amoco, and Elf Regional seismic and geologic data indicated the potential for significant organic buildups in the Early and Late Permian, a relatively untested reservoir objective in the Norwegian Barents Sea.
