Abstract
Small faults in reservoirs can greatly influence the migration within reservoirs depending on the sealing capacities of the faults. Although the sealing potential of a fault can be influenced by a number of factors (e.g. mechanical deformation and cementation) interest has been focused on the clay/shale smear potential of faults.
