Abstract

Induced Polarization (IP) effects in transient electromagnetic (TEM) measurements have not been extensively addressed by practitioners of TEM methods for structural mapping. This discussion focuses on illustrating IP effects pertinent to central loop sounding measurements. Examples of field data from several localities are given to illustrate these effects.
