Abstract
In order to determine the 3D structure of crustal scale volumes by deep reflection profiling at a reasonable cost , the acquisition and processing parameters used in industrial exploration must be modified. A balance has to be found between the necessity to obtain data on a large su rfacé (for Jeep events migration distances can be quite large) and the necessity to use spatial sampling parameters appropriate for processing (taking into account the inherent loss of lateral resolution with depth) .
