f Borehole coupling in cross-well wave propagation

We present the results of large-scale simulations aimed at studying the propagation and scattering of elastic waves in cross-well seismic experiments and their influence on the migrationinversion algorithms used in processing the data. The objective of this study is twofold: • To understand coupling phenomena in order to better design the experiment and interpret the observed data; • To providé realistic 3D elastic synthetics to be used in algorithmic validation of inversion techniques .
