f Basin geology of part of parathetys: Vojvodina, Yugoslavia

During the Neogene the area of the Pannonian basin was part of the Parathetys, a highly complex epeairic sea, where at Present several hundreds oil field exist, mostly small in size. Some basic data are sketched concerning geology of the part of Paratethys situated in Vojvodina. The thickness of Tertiary, amounting to 6 km, highly depends on paleorelief, fault zones and compaction, as well as so far poorly understood vertical movements (Fig 7.) .
