Abstract

Wide angle reflection/refraction seismic mapping - WARRS mapping - has been extensively applied during the last years onshore and offshore mainly with three aims: 1. As a reconnaissance method in areas of undefined geology were crustal and basin studies are the objectives . 2. In order to penetrate structures where volcanics or Balts prohibit the application of standard seismic methods. 3. As a method to produce tomographic velocity models prior to or in postdrilling interpretation .
