Abstract

Three-dimensional (3-D) seismic methods are playing an increasingly important role in exploration and production development, both at structural and reservoir level, due to their enhanced resolution capabilities. With the growing trend towards 3-D acquisition and processing, and the increased emphasis on interactive workstation interpretation, the need crises for a completely new generation of signal processing algorithms to provide faster, more accurate and more reliable processing of these large, high resolution data sets .
