f Isoparametric Chebyshev spectral element method for acoustic wave simulation

Seismic forward modelling is a valuable tool for investigating wave propagation in complex geological structures. Due to the complexity, both lithological and stratigraphical, that can be found in such structures, the use of a numerical method with great accuracy and flexibility is needed for correct results. High-order numerical schemes are needed in order to satisfy the accuracy requirement; in particular the pseudospectral method (PSM) is well known both for efficiency and accuracy .
