Among the great number of existing tomographical methods, it is necessary to make a choice adapted to each type of application. A trade-off must always be considered between the type and the number of data, the accuracy required and the cost. For our applications, at the scale of measurement relevant to civil engineering, we wish to deal with a great number of data, which may be very noisy and we must be able to apply our methods to the large amount of possible geometrical configuration including 3D measurements.
