Abstract
In seismic tomography the observed traveltimes or amplitudes of direct waves are inverted to obtain an estimate of seismic velocity or absorption of the section surveyed . There has been much recent interest in using cross-well traveltime tomography to observe the effects of enhanced dil recovery (EOR) processen, in which production is significantly enhanced by the injection of fluids into the reservoir rocks. If repeated surveys were caried out, then EOR processes could be monitored over a period of time, a technique that han been Galled "time-lapse tomography" .
