f Cavities detection using the self-potential method

Nowadays an increased requirement exists in many scientific and economical fields for ' finding natural or man-made cavities . In detecting and locating cavities a broad spectrum of geophysical methodologies have been used .Under theoretical and model studies or in simple geological field conditions, every methodology proved to be more or less effective. On the contrary, under actual complex situations like the ones encountered in karst areas or when large lithological variabilities are present, detecting cavities is an intriguing and difficult problem .
