Abstract
Diffraction-stack methods (e.g., in form of a Kirchhoff migration) are broadly used in seismic imaging to migrate seismic reflections. Recently, a modified diffraction stack was proposed by Schleicher et al . (1992) that provides not only kinematic but also dynamic information about migrated reflections. Diffraction-stack methods can also be used to get additional information concerning the reflected ray.
