Abstract
Li and Pedersen (1991a) introduced the controlled-source tensor magnetotelluric (CSTMT) method. A pair of grounded electric dipoles are used as the transmitter. The horizontal electric and magnetic fields and vertical magnetic one are measured. Impedance tensor and tipper vector are uniquely defined for horizontal electrical dipole sources.
