Abstract

Paraxial wave equations are a powerful way to approach seismic migration. They have been successfully used in both 2D (cf. Collino [2]) and in 3D (cf. Graves and Clayton [3]). Here we present a numerical method for the solution of these equations, which avoids the lateral splitting used in most in the 3D in methods used until now.
