Abstract
The induced polarization (commonly known as lP) method is one of the most effective tools in mineral exploration. As it is known the induced polarization is based on the electrochemical phenomenon of overvoltage, that is on the establishment and deection of double layers of electrical charge at the interface between ionic and electronic conducting materials when an electrical current is caused to pass across the interface (H.O. Seigel).
