f Removal of water multiples - A new F-K approach

Here we propose a frequency-discrete wavenumber (F-K) method for removing water multiples from shot-record reflection data. The method is based on the acoustic wave equation in 2-D media. modelling the seismic reflection response from a stack of sub surface interfaces. which can have irregular boundaries. However, no knowledge of the subsurface geology below the water bottom is required in order to remove water multiples.
