Abstract
Borehole seismic plays an important role in exploration and development. Standard applications, besides measuring the acoustic velocity fields between the source and the well geophone, aim to reconstruct a subsurface acoustic image around and below the borehole (vertical case, VSP), and away from the borehole (offset and walkaway case, OSP and WSP). The fidelity of this image is related to the correct retrieval and definition of the reflectivity sequence.
