Abstract
Geophysical investigation in the Macva region (Western Serbia), a well known geothermal area, are presented. The geological settings of the investigated area (southern edge of the Pannonian basin) is represented by a Quaternary and Neogen cover consisting of marine, Take and fluvial sediments. The structure of the basement is however much more complicated. It consists mainly of lower/middle Triassic silificied limestone and dolomitic limestone, Jurassic ultrabasite and Cretaceous limestone.
