Abstract
In this paper an electrical resistivity survey is presented. The survey was carried out for the estimation of ground water resources in the alluvium filled delta of Mornos rivier in Western Greece (figure 1). The two main objectives of the survey were: - To investigate the subsurface geological and tectonic structure of the rivier valley. - To attempt a correlation between resistivity data and aquifer dynamic characteristics in order to improve the accuracy of aquifer modelling. The rivier delta contains typical fluviatile deposits in the form of sands, gravels and clayey deposits overlying a flysch, which forms the impermeable basement of the valley.
