Abstract
Oil-gas-condensate fields of Precaspian Depression started to play an important role in the Soviet petroleum industry at the beginning of Eighties' after a very successful exploration in the Northern Board of depression and after the discovery of large reserves formations Astrakhan, Karachaganak, Tengiz. Presently Karachaganak is the largest gas condensate field in Kazakhstan (2nd in the World), Tengiz is the largest oil field in Kazakhstan, gas condensate fields Astrakhan and Orenburg are of a great importance in Russian gas industry.
