Abstract

Underground storage of natural gas started in Austria in 1966. Seven different depleted gas reservoirs of the 'Matzen Field" (Northern 'Vierma Basin') are used to supply the Austrian gas market with an entire working gas volume of about 2 Billion m³ and a total capacity of around 1 Million m³ / h.
