Abstract
in Austria OMV's major part of dry gas production is sour gas. The emissions of the gas conditioning plant in Aderklas (raw gas throughput 1.5 Million mild approx.) are mainly Carbon Dioxide (CO2). Since CO2 is known as one of the 'greenhouse gases' which could lead to a global climate change, several international and national organisations have made plans (including the introduction of a Carbon Dioxide tax) to substantially reduce these emissions. In the case of gas conditioning the best way is to dispose of the CO2 emissions.
