f A Unix approach for Monte Carlo simulation of reservoir volumes

Monte Carlo Simulation (MCS) is widely used in the oil industry for volumetric studies of reservoirs with uncertainty in the geological data. The paper describes a specialized menu driven system developed in cooperation with Norsk Agip. It is a comprehensive system for volumetric studies of reservoir prospects. It covers the most typical cases in prospect analysis and represents a new and fast approach to simulation processing.
