Abstract

The Fjerritslev Fault is a major subsurface NW-SE trending normal fault located in the northeastern part of onshore Denmark and continuing offshore (Fig. 1). The fault is part of the Tornquist Zone and offsets Palaeozoic and younger sediments in the Norwegian-Danish Basin, a region also characterized by salt tectonics.
