Abstract
Commencing with Mayne's (1962) benchmark paper on common midpoint stacking (CMP), conventional stacking velocity analysis evolved rapidly as did realization of the problems inherent in the derived interval velocities (see reviews by Robinson, 1983; Cordier, 1985).
