Abstract
Summary
The paper deals with studying the surface area of water-saturated sand-siltstone rocks by NMR relaxometry. There are two groups of samples, each of which is addressed separately. The evaluation of the core samples surface area characterized by clay-bound and capillary-bound fluids is estimated by NMR relaxometry data. Surface area, clay content and resistivity relations are revealed and studied in detail using NMR method and the results of laboratory core analysis. They demonstrate the interconnection of electrophysical, lithological and relaxational data. It is established that the surface area value is influenced both by clay content and its type, as well as by surface properties of sand-siltstone particles
