Numerical Interpretation of Borehole Electromagnetic and Galvanic Methods Data in the Bazhenov Formation Deposits

Abstract
This paper deals with the numerical interpretation of electrical and electromagnetic logging data in the Bazhenov formation. The Bazhenov deposits are characterized by a complex micro- and macrostructure, spatial heterogeneity, and a high contrast of electrophysical parameters. The interpretation is based upon the effective algorithms for numerical simulation of electrical and electromagnetic fields. The complex of electrical and electromagnetic logging sounding methods is used. An extended set of electrophysical parameters of the silicious and clayey bituminous Bazhenov deposits has been determined. Spatial distributions of electrical resistivity and macroanisotropy, as well as of dielectric permittivity and its frequency dispersion, have been evaluated.
