Abstract

The application of seismically driven reservoir characterization and production monitoring is dependent on seismic data quality and well calibration. It also is also influenced by subsurface complexities. Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) integrates several Quantitative Interpretation techniques for reservoir characterization and well and reservoir management studies. However the techniques are often challenged by data constraints and subsurface complexities. In this paper we discuss separate case studies from Exploration, Appraisal and Production, with an emphasis on technical challenges in integrating seismically driven interpretations. Each example is unique in terms of data availability but shares similar subsurface complexities. The applicability of these workflows is also discussed against the associated uncertainties.
