Abstract
Wide-azimuth seismic data are widely acquired to obtain more information on geologic bodies in 3D space, which leads to existence of anisotropy, especially azimuthally anisotropy. In accordance with the features of wide-azimuth seismic data, the paper presents a method of velocity model building for azimuthally anisotropic PSDM, i.e. integration of horizon-base tomography, VTI grid tomography and multi-azimuth grid tomography. This scheme can build high-precision velocity model and obtain anisotropy information efficiently without large amount of computer resources, so as to make better use of PSDM in geologic characterization. This approach has been applied in land data processing. The velocity model reached such high precision that the salt dome boundaries and carbonate reservoirs, stringers of intra-salt carbonate were clearly imaged after azimuthally anisotropic PSDM.
