Abstract

As a high-productivity and cost-effective acquisition system, cableless node is widely accepted and deployed in recent years. This paper gives the highlights of some key techniques of cableless node system applied in Niger G&B 3D survey, including multi-fleet vibrators stakeless guidance, high efficiency operation, field QC, and mega data management and processing. We demonstrate that the overall data quality of major geology target and deep formations has been improved through the implementation of the new acquisition in this project, which has proved wide azimuth, high density nodal acquisition is a scientific and cost effective approach in G&B desert area.
