Abstract

Summary

Directional seismic wave field can be excited by source array with different delays. However, most researches about source array are focused on the models with horizontal surface. In fact, topography of many regions is complicated and rugged that makes it difficult to illuminate exploration targets. Based on source array, we proposed a method of directional seismic wave field and illumination including rugged topography. By rotating coordinates, we derived equations of source array’s excitation delay in the case of rugged surface. Then specific directional seismic illumination and omnidirectional illumination can be calculated. The numerical examples indicate that this new method is flexible and practical for directional wave field and illumination analysis in areas with complex surface.
