The application of MASW in a geotechnical site investigation

For engineers it is important to achieve material parameters, such as shear modulus and Young's modulus. With material parameters for soils and bedrock e.g. settlements, deformations and strength can be estimated. After often time consuming fieldwork traditional geotechnical survey methods usually provide material parameters valid only for a small volume.
