Surface geophysical survey of old mining works - A comparative study

Detection of cavities caused by relics of old mines, cellars or sewage systems is very common geophysical task nowadays. Results of cavity-detection geophysical measurements are time to time almost perfect, but often poorly satisfactory. To test the cave-hunting abilities of different geophysical methods we have chosen a place where the location of cavities has been already known and we have carried out numerous measurements by means of various methods.
