Prediction of salinity hazard in soils irrigated with saline water and reclaimed wastewater using calibrated geophysical measurements

To determine the spatial distribution of salinity a farmland and a golf course both placed on the Llobregat delta plain near Barcelona have been surveyed. The sites were selected because crops and golf management practices are meaningful. The area also contains a wide distribution of soil types with textures ranging from loamy clays to fine sands (Tapias, 1998). The water table in the area was located at a depth ranging from less than one to greater than three meters below the soil surface.
