Abstract
It is made a regional overview of the basin modeling projects were performed in Russian Federation sedimatary basins in different geodynamic settings. It is shown the type of project vary accordingly the stage of the exploration works. They are: Regional 3D project (large scale with local grid refinement); Zonal 2D project; Local 3D project; Special task projects in 1D, 2D, 3D; Frontier exploration basin project in 1D, 2D, 3D. The examples are given.
