Deep Oil: “Pro” and “Contra” – Current State of Problem

The current status of long-standing dispute about the nature of oil, i.e. its organic (sedimentary-migration) or inorganic origin is discussed. Most of the results in the last few years suggests the latter. Made a preliminary analysis of the scientific paradigm shift that will mean for the oil and gas geology in general, and in particular for the Western Siberia.
