Another Approach to Forming the Seismic Images of Environment by the Data of Multi‐fold Overlapping Method

Analysis of changes of the main technical characteristics of CDP‐3D seismic method allows to forecast the direction of further development of the seismic survey. In the paper another way of seismic development is discussed. This way is based on the diffraction model of the seismic wave field. The authors describe the concept of the high‐density virtual network that contain the set of assumed bins. It shows the possible response of the proposed data transformation method for various types of the seismic waves. Is explained the theory of this transformation, examples, and the results of testing with using synthetic and field seismograms.
