Abstract
The idea that the northern Sea of Okhotsk depression is a deepwater downfold of paleosubduction zone Of Okhotsk microplate under Eurasia continent allows considering sedimentary series under paleogenic rocks rich in hydrocarbons. Due to several advantageous factors both oil and gas deposits discovered can be significantly higher than previously estimated.
