Abstract

Today, vertical seismic profiling (VSP) plays a key role in providing the oil companies of valuable information not only about the deep properties of the geologic section, but also about its geological structure. The composition of a wide range of problems solved by borehole seismic, include: the study of the formation and propagation of the wave fields at interior points of the environment, the selection of different types of waves, the determination of their nature and structure refinement of near-well space, evaluation of the effective thickness of the collectors, the identification of zones of increased porosity and carbonate rocks. In this paper we present the results and shows the need for an integrated approach to the interpretation of borehole seismic data based on procedures involving the inversion and the other phase-frequency transformation of temporary seismic sections
