Prospecting and exploration aspects of reef structures of the Melekessky basin Upper Devonian sediments of the Volga-Ural PNC as an example Novobesovskoye area of Ulyanovsk region

Novobesovskoe field is located in the southeastern part of Melekessky basin and is belong to the axial zone of intraformational Ust-Cheremshansk deflection of the Kama-Kinel system of deflections. Reef generation is less developed and localized in certain areas in depressed parts of KKSP. Precision 3D seismic surveys and a set of geological and geophysical studies, have revealed the organogenic structure in the carbonate sediments of the upper Devonian deposits at Novobesovskoe area. Example of reef generation in the axial zone of Ust Cheremshansk deflection may not be unique and is a prerequisite for further study of this area.
