Abstract

The regional-scale magnetotelluric observations were carried out along «Lopatka–Khailino» line in 2007 – 2010. This profile goes from South to North along Kamchatka peninsula. Collected data is to be combined with MT stations, acquired in previous years along a series of profiles, crossing Kamchatka peninsula from West to East. The results of MT-data interpretation are shown. Besides that, in the framework of this project MT observations were repeated within a part of «Korf – Verkhnee Pengino» line (original data was collected in 2004) to study the effect of a strong earthquake, which occurred in this area in 2005. As a result of repeated measurements, the unique MT dataset is acquired, which allows to study the changes in resisitivity structure caused by the earthquake.
