АBSTRACT. The paper describes the experience of TEM electroprospecting method, the study of surface oil shows. The studies were conducted in two phases, with a view to the dissection of the geological cross-section, the selection of reservoir horizons and tectonic faults. In the first step were performing out directly field measurements and interpretation of data. In the second step after drilling into account the data of electrical work is carried out a comparison and analysis of materials. The report presents the results for each of the stages of research, which suggests that using the methodology used can accurately determine the parameters of geological objects with contrasting electrical properties, to a depth of 100 - 120 m. For a more detailed differentiation of the section at depths of 30 meters, it is necessary to use the plant with smaller waiting room and the generator loop.
