One of the biggest challenges of horizontal well drilling has always been the technology barrier involved. Today, horizontal well drilling, is a common practice that have already overcome most of the technological and operational challenges. The challenges are those related to better reservoir characterization and the use of tools that achieve higher resolution in order to reduce the geologic risk during drilling.
