Abstract

The Chirag Azeri Reservoir Seismic Project (CARSP) is the latest phase of seismic acquisition for reservoir management on the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) oil field complex in the South Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan (Figure 1). This poster describes the philosophy behind a semi-permanent Life of Field Seismic (LoFS) configuration deployed over the field, the details of the equipment used, the operational challenges and the timeline of events to acquire three sets of time-lapse (4D) four component (4C) OBC surveys during 2007, 2008 and 2010. The setting and geology of the ACG complex is summarised by Robinson et al. (2010) in another poster at this workshop.
