Abstract
Permanently installed seismic receivers are one option for carrying out a series of regularly scheduled time-lapse surveys. Compared to the competing options — streamer or redeployable OBC acquisition — a permanent installation requires a large initial investment. However, in cases where there is technical and business justification for a high survey rate, a permanent installation could result in a lower total seismic cost.
